deep therapy for
real change

Depression, identity, and trauma therapy for men in colorado

welcome

Hi, I’m Mason. I’m a psychotherapist and trauma specialist working with men in Denver, Arvada, and throughout Colorado.

Most of the men I work with began therapy with me because they felt:

  • stuck, frustrated, and tired

  • disconnected in relationships

  • internally confused, and

  • overwhelmed with finding a way forward.

I help you get down to the deeper roots of what’s causing your difficulties for real, lasting change— no more managing symptoms.

about me

My name is Mason Fraley.

I’m a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-I) with a decade of experience in both clinical and pastoral counseling settings. Outside the therapy room, I’m a doctoral psychology student. I’m deeply curious about people, driven to do what actually works, and I love being a helper. I know what therapy feels like from both sides, and to me, healing is always relational, not just intellectual.

my approach

I’m not about symptom management.

I use depth-oriented therapy, which means we go to the source. Not just what you're feeling, but where it comes from, what it's protecting, and what it would take to actually change it. Beneath most of the patterns men bring to therapy like the numbness, the restlessness, the sense that something's off, there are deeper emotional realities that haven't been fully seen or felt. That's where the work happens.

I draw on psychodynamic therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, parts work, and EMDR. What I use depends on what you need, but the through-line is always the same: go underneath, not around it.

what we’ll work on together

A process, not just talking.

  1. Get clear on what's actually happening

Most men arrive with a vague sense that something's wrong but no language for it. We'll build that language together with precision and without judgment.

  2. Go to the root, not the surface

Insight alone doesn't change much. Real movement happens when the underlying feelings and beliefs are actually felt and worked through, not just understood. The work is experiential.

  3. Build a new relationship with yourself

When your internal system shifts, old patterns stop making sense. What replaces them is a more honest, more grounded way of being, both in your own skin, and with the people around you.

who this works well for

This works well for men who are done waiting.

Not everyone is ready for this kind of work, and that's fine. But if any of these land, you're probably in the right place:

  • You're in your 20s, 30s, or 40s, and something has quietly stopped making sense: career, relationships, identity, maybe all of it.

  • You're functional, even successful, but you feel hollow or off in a way you feel you can't explain to the people around you.

  • You've tried other approaches like reading, willpower, possibly even a previous therapist, and you're ready to go deeper.

  • You're curious about yourself, not just looking for relief. You want to understand what's actually driving this.
