Services
Depression
The kind of depression that might not look like depression.
You're getting through the day. You're doing what you're supposed to do. But there's a flatness to things, a low-grade sense of going through the motion. You feel kind of dead inside, you can't shake it and you can't quite explain.
This kind of depression is common in men, and it often goes unrecognized because it doesn't fit the typical clinical picture. It's not always sadness. It can be irritability, numbness, disconnection, or just a persistent sense that something's off. We'll work to understand what's underneath it and not just manage it so it actually shifts.
Identity Confusion
When your life feels like somebody else’s.
You've hit a milestone, or a wall, and something that used to feel solid or meaningful no longer does. A career shift, a relationship changing, faith feels more complicated, or simply the dawning awareness that you've been living someone else's script. The map stopped working.
Men in their 20s, 30s, and 40s often find themselves here: functional, even accomplished, but quietly unmoored. This is the work I find most meaningful, and where my own background gives me a perspective most therapists don't have. We'll get specific about what's actually changed, what you're grieving, and what a more honest version of your life might look like.
Trauma
When something happened that derailed you.
It might be a single event, or something that happened over years. Either way, there's a before and an after, and in the “after,” something about how you relate to yourself, or other people, or the world, hasn't been the same.
I'm a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-I) with specific training in EMDR, one of the most well-researched trauma treatments available. We'll work at a pace that's safe, and in a way that actually moves through what happened rather than just talking about it.
What to expect
Sessions are 50 minutes. We'll typically meet weekly least at the start to get up to speed and because consistency matters for this kind of work. The frequency can adjust later based on where you are and what you need.
I work in a depth-oriented way, which means we go underneath the surface rather than staying at the symptom level. Sessions aren't rigidly structured, they follow what's most alive for you in the moment, but there's always a clear sense of direction and purpose to the work.
Most men I work with start noticing real movement within the first 8–12 sessions, though the timeline varies depending on what you're working through.
Looking for something more accelerated? I also offer therapy intensive weekends for those who want to compress months of work into just a few days.
Individual session: $135 per 50 minute session
Payment: Private pay (Credit card, HSA/FSA)
Insurance: Out-of-network only, superbills can be provided
Frequency: Weekly recommended at the start
